Harry Jewett opened the San Antonio office to Harry Jewett Associates in 1971. In 1991, the Laredo office of Harry Jewett Associates was opened.
Harry Jewett has been responsible for more than four hundred (400) zoning cases in multiple locations in Texas. One notable case was the SE corner of Loop 1604 and U.S. 281 North in San Antonio. The zoning for this property was approved by the San Antonio City Council and then reversed by the same council at their next meeting. There was a lawsuit filed by the property owners which went to District Court, the Texas rulings and returned the zoning to its originally approved status. The zoning for this property is still in place today for the shopping center at this location.
Harry Jewett also operates a construction and development firm; HX Development, LLC. This firm constructs facilities such as small office and commercial buildings, cellular telephone antenna locations and subdivision recreational amenity centers (six such projects have been provided for KB Home subdivisions).
Harry Jewett has obtained Work Precertification status from TxDOT for; Land Planning/Engineering, Route Studies & Schematic Design - Minor Roadways, Route Studies & Schematic Design - Major Roadways and Minor Roadway Design. Harry Jewett has a Department of Defense Fallout Shelter Analysis certification No. 5tt-534-66.
Harry Jewett is a Registered Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Texas.
